Hourglass Systems designs, develops and deploys the AdminDirect benefits management system. At the heart of the system is the administration module, which was specifically designed for use by benefits administrators and other benefits professionals to more efficiently complete the complex tasks associated with managing today’s employee benefits packages. Benefits administration and management is not an afterthought for Hourglass Systems but rather our continuous focus. Benefits Enrollment Solutions
Hourglass Systems offers two employee benefit enrollment modules in AdminDirect. The first is an employee self-service system, ElectMyBenefits.com, designed to be used by employees via a web browser (IE 5.5 or higher recommended). The second enrollment module, ElectMyBenefits Laptop Edition, is designed for use by insurance agents when conducting one-on-one employee benefit enrollment sessions. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Electronic Data Interchange, or EDI, is the process of sharing common data between two or more computer systems which use the data to perform different tasks. AdminDirect is designed to handle and automate EDI between systems such as carrier policy issuance and claims systems, employer payroll systems, and employer human resource systems. EDI, when implemented properly, eliminates multiple entry of common data across systems thus making all communicating systems more efficient and cost effective for their users.
